No more “personal” subscriptions

We have removed the “personal” subscriptions from available service levels. We want to share with you why this news:

  1. GlipMe is a service that respect users. So we do not make money using your data, and you will not pay the service with your data. There are many competitors that provide free services, and we suspect that they will use your data to pay your service (to make marketing, to build “Data APIs”, to feed other software, and so on). Personal data is the current money. Free does not exist. Be care selecting your providers.
  2. GlipMe is not a data collector, but a service brought to you as a useful tool. So, as every tool, it come with a price.
  3. GlipMe is really powerful for companies, and professionals. Our Business and Enterprise service level are customized to this kind of users.

So it’s time to have a business oriented, powerful, service that has a little cost for business users. You can always try the service for free, and when you will decide to improve your life with GlipMe, you can start your subscription.

Enjoy 🙂

What is a Glipper?

So, in GlipMe 5.0 you and your contacts can be “Glippers”. And what is a Glipper? It’s easy.

I have your contacts in my address book, ok? As me, a lot of people have them. Now  you have a new email address, or phone number. Do you need to send it to everyone. And someone will try to contact you using the old address, missing something important, you can bet.

Now, if you are Glippers, just update your contact in your GlipMe. Everyone having it in personal address book will receive it updated. In GlipMe, in smartphone’s address book, everywhere.

Just one update, just one click. You won’t miss that important call.

Sync restored

We experienced some trouble with Sync, but now all is OK. If you smartphone is not synchronized, please wait or force a sync manually, and you address book will be online.

GlipMe 5.0 beta is available

GlipMe is born with a goal: provide us always up to date contacts, in our address book, available on every device or place or software we use. And what is the powerful source of updated addresses we have? Contact itself: the person that own that address. So our address book will be always updated if our contacts will provide us their data. GlipMe Autoupdate, available from the first version, was the first step, and now we are happy to announce the second: Glippers.

So what does it mean? Simply: if you Glip-Me, we will become two Glippers, and your data will be automatically available in my address book. So when you will change an address (for example your new phone number), you will update it one time only, in YOUR GlipMe, and all your Glippers will see the new data in their personal address book (and phones, of course). Easy, quick, not invasive, definitive.

My address book is filled with data that my contacts provide and update. So my address book will always be the best address book in the world 😉

Currently we are in “beta” of this new feature, so we will publish more details later. But you can start now to create your Glippers network, simply enter your account and go to “Glipper” area.

Glip Me now! 😉

Disfruta 🙂

Sync to Office 365

Are you one of 100 million users of Microsoft Office 365? Today you can sync your GlipMe address book to Office 365, with just a click.

GlipMe will upload, and update, you living address book to your online O365, so you will find contacts details when you are , for example, in your Outlook Web Access Webmail, or in your Outlook client. Updated company wide contacts will always be there where you need.

As usual, GlipMe integration is reversible: contacts will be available in a custom “GlipMe” folder, so you can delete it (with all updated contacts) if you want. And GlipMe will not change your native O365 contacts.

As usual, you don’t need any App or software: GlipMe will do everything for you.

To start O365 integration, simply go to your GlipMe “my profile” area and click to connect your account to your O365. It will not require to share any password with GlipMe, and GlipMe will ask to access you contacts only (NOT also you email.. we are different).

Enjoy 🙂

New Mailing released to beta users

We are happy to announce that the new “Mailing 4.0” feature has been released to beta users.

Mailing is a great feature that allows companies to send mailings to GlipMe contacts using integrated GlipMe services. Contacts can be selected via “saved searches”, or imported from external sources. Mailings are created using the online interactive editing tool, a full Web based editor that allows users to create content and manage own templates.

Mailing provides features to manage blacklists (company-wide, or mailing-wide), deduplicate recipients, customize every single email, manage bounces, and a lot more.

Mailing 4.0 will be released soon to GlipMe users, as an option to Business and Professional subscriptions.
